Cantauriol holiday farmhouse is situated in the Quercy Blanc region of South West France just over 1 hour drive from Toulouse and Bergerac airports and 2 hours from Bordeaux.

All three airports have regular flights from the UK and the rest of Europe.

The Quercy Blanc region is steeped in history and there are dozens of medieval hilltop villages and towns within a short drive of Cantauriol.

Majestic rivers such as the Lot, the Tarn and the Garonne are within a short drive as well as the larger towns of Agen, Cahors and Moissac.

The idyllic countryside is ideal for walking, cycling, fishing, horse riding and canoeing. There are also some great golf courses in the area listed here.

If your preferred pursuits are more cultural or historical there are prehistoric sites, caves, fortified villages, chateaux and medieval towns aplenty.

The cuisine and wines on offer in the area are of the finest quality. Over the next few pages, a small selection of some of the most interesting eating options in the area are recommended to you.

Only a 10 minutes walk from the farmhouse is the sleepy village of Lacour de Visa. Just 10 minutes drive from Cantauriol is the nearest small town, Montaigu, which hosts restaurants, shops and a weekly market.

During the summer months 'every' village in the area organises 'fete's' (communal meals with live music) everybody is welcome to go along and for a very small cost will have a wonderful evening. this provided an excellent way to mix with the local people and glean the way of life in the Quercy region.
